KitchenAid KSB1575ER Introduction

This KitchenAid blender is not that expensive although it does boast of some pretty amazing features. Dubbed the 5-speed Diamond Blender, the KitchenAid KSB1575ER will puree, liquefy, mix, chop and stir just about anything. It comes with five different control options plus an ice crushing mode and variable pulse mode. This blender gets its unique name thanks to the Diamond shaped pitcher that can hold about 60oz of content inside. Together with the stainless steel 4-pronged blades it whips up a powerful vortex that guzzles through anything inside the container. By the way, the container is BPA free and dishwasher safe at the same time!

Coming to the brains behind the brawn – the motor is actually quite powerful and intelligent at the same time. It regulates the speed in real time based on the resistance it faces regardless of what speed you choose. Slightly pushing more power to the blades in the beginning and then gradually bottoming out to get a perfect consistency every time, that is the KitchenAid KSB1575ER’s secret to winning the 2013 chef’s choice award.

As for the design, it is not that massive or large so you can fit it with the jar on top comfortably underneath a kitchen cabinet. Plus, the touch controls and its exquisite finish does give it a modern appeal. Do not be surprised if guests are immediately drawn towards this blender!

Our KitchenAid KSB1575ER Review

Ok first and foremost, not many blenders are made in USA anymore. Most are manufactured in China and then shipped here. We are happy to report that the KitchenAid KSB1575ER is completely made in the US. Yup, this means reliable construction, high quality materials and definitely superior performance. But, wait! This blender costs under $150 and that in itself is an amazing achievement. Even before we decided to review this unit, we were taken aback with the countless positive reviews it gathered online. Not a single complaint that this blender is underpowered or noisy or even unreliable. Everyone had only great things to share. Quite naturally, we had high expectations when our test unit arrived.

In the first week, we decided to burn through some quick nutritional smoothies and health drinks since that involves a variety of ingredients. Astonishingly, the blender managed to slash through anything we put inside the container. Kale stood no chance and neither did unpeeled orange! Yes, you read right. Drop in loads of ice and an unpeeled orange to retain the fiber content. Add a little sugar and give the blender a good twirl to make the healthiest possible fruit juice you ever had in your life. Best of all, it does not make that much more sound than a Vitamix or Blendtec. Honestly, considering the cost of this KitchenAid blender, we simply do not understand why you would even consider some other brand. Other comparable blenders cost well over $400 while this one is just under $150!

Coming to the construction, it is sturdy with a good stainless steel die cast base and an all-metal drive that locks snuggly into place against the 4-pronged blade. The blade sits comfortably inside a BPA free 60-ounce diamond shape patented container that whips up quite a storm regardless of the setting. This is possible because the motor has both a Soft Start feature and the ability to regulate blade speed depending on the content within the container. By the way, all accessories for this blender happen to be dishwasher safe. So, once you are done, just throw the entire ensemble in a dishwasher and have it cleaned easy.

KitchenAid KSB1575ER Specifications & Pros/Cons

Pros

Cons

Key Features

  • Regulated Power – The motor does provide a lot of power but it is not too high. Rather, the power is delivered with a gradual increment depending on the settings chosen and the content inside the container.
  • Diamond Patented Design – Thanks to the unique diamond shaped container design, it actually manages to circulate everything within quick and efficiently. End result is perfect blending each time.
  • Tight Lid – The lid snuggly fits onto the container top preventing spillage but the most important thing to remember is that it does not come off even under severe vibrations until you pry it open.
  • Loads of Options – You get to crush ice with a single button and do a lot more than a typical blender can. Pulse in five different speeds or simply choose the most appropriate preset function if you aren’t the experimental type.
  • Forget Repairs – For the first year, KitchenAid offers a no-questions-asked replacement warranty. Basically, if anything in your blender goes horribly wrong, then KitchenAid will replace the unit with a brand new one, no questions asked!
  • Easy to Use – It does not take much time getting used to this blender. A descriptive manual comes in the packaging and because of its efficient design, it is simple to operate from the word go.
  • The container is not glass but rather plastic which means it will eventually fade and color away. Besides 60oz is not exactly a lot of space if you plan on doing larger batches of anything. If only it came with another larger container.
  • It does make a lot of noise when in operating but this is to be expected when you know it has a lot of power to offer.
  • Do not try and blend for long durations at a stretch as this will burn out the motor coil. Thankfully, motor jarring is reduced due to the Soft Start feature in this blender.
  • For a smooth blend each time, the KitchenAid KSB1575ER features a diamond blending system with a diamond shaped container and four-pronged blade arrangement.
  • Set the speed and forget with the Intelli-Speed motor sensor that detects the content and resistance against the blades, automatically adjusting the speed to ensure consistency.
  • Do more than just blend. With Pulse feature you can liquefy, puree, mix, chop and also stir.
  • It does come with an ice crushing mode too specifically to make chilled drinks and concoctions.
  • The blender starts slow and then gradually picks up speed until it reaches the user defined speed setting – the soft start feature.
  • The container is stain-resistant, scratch and shatter proof, while being easy to clean in a dishwasher. It can hold 60oz of material and is made from BPA free plastic.
  • Comes with a die-cast metallic base that is not just heavy but also sturdy for complete stability during operations.
  • This unit features a touch control panel that cleans easily.
  • The complete package including accessories is all covered under a 1-year hassle free replacement warranty. The motor however has a 5-year warranty.

Our Final Conclusion For The KitchenAid KSB1575ER

Professional grade bar mixers and blenders tend to cost over $500 unless you get the KitchenAid KSB1575ER. This inexpensive blender does more than just blend and whatever it does – it does rather well. From pureeing to chopping, you can do a lot of things with one blade and one container. Not to mention this blender is protected by a no-hassle replacement warranty in its first year so if anything does go wrong, they really won’t ask questions as to what you were doing with it. You could practically blend your iPhone and break your blender, KitchenAid will not care inside 12 months!
